for the most part, it went well.
i was reminded over and over again that art history is for real the best option for me right now.
and i was also reminded, conversely [?], that spanish is definitely not right for me as a major.
today i had my mesoamerican and 19th century art history classes and i love them already! my teachers are both so enthusiastic about their subject matter and excited to teach us.
on the other hand, i also had my spanish culture and civilization class and felt like i was going to throw up the whole time i was there. it's been a long time since i've had a spanish class. it's been well over a year. but even though it was stressful and overwhelming for me to be in that classroom, something my professor said really hit me. he said that as long as we prepare for our classes faithfully, we will be given the help that we need in order to succeed in all that we struggle with. that really comforted me and motivated me to work hard and do my best so i don't have to take this stupid class again.
in other news:
-first day of school crush has been found.
-my roommates are beyond awesome.
-i made some delicious tomato sauce tonight with fresh tomatoes from the jorgensen family garden [thanks, mom!].
-NO CLASS TOMORROW!
-there was a CRAZY rain/hail storm earlier this evening! beautiful.
-i can't wait to go to my new ward and my other art history classes!
