five good things about today:
1. i received a calling. i am the new choir pianist and i'm actually really excited about it!
2. phone calls from sisters.
3. the scriptures.
4. naptime.
5. the knowledge that the Lord knows what i am going through and how to help me through other people. i feel so blessed to know that. there were a lot of signs of that in my life today and it's amazing to see that and know that i am most definitely not alone.

have i mentioned lately how excited i am for ecuador?
i'm excited to get lost in the city and explore every nook and cranny.
i'm excited to forget whatever i'm worried about and just throw myself into hard work and service.
i'm excited to find little presents for my friends and family.
i'm excited to document my everyday life and the beauty of south america through photos and this very blog.
i'm excited to get away.
i'm excited to strengthen myself in every way.
i'm excited to serve and get to know and love the beautiful children i will be working with.
but most of all, i'm excited to finally put a stamp in my passport [is that bad?].
the first of many adventures abroad begins in july.
