something didn't feel right.
i knew i was tired from a couple of late nights this week,
so i decided to take a nap.
as i climbed under my covers, i curled up in a little ball, smiled [i discovered this about myself the other night--as i'm drifting off to sleep, i have a huge smile on my face. i guess i love the feeling of being all snuggly and warm in my bed], and fell asleep.
BAD IDEA.
the second i woke up, i had a terrible headache.
it felt like someone or something was inside my brain pounding on my eyeballs.
i got out of bed, and was hit by a sudden wave of nausea.
stumbling to the bathroom, i sat by the toilet and waited for whatever was making my stomach angry to resurface,
but nothing happened.
so, i trudged back to my room, rubbed peppermint oil on my temples, drank a baby coke and took a walk.
when i got back home, my headache was gone,
my nausea had subsided,
and i felt infinitely better.
today i am grateful for caffeine,
peppermint oil,
understanding friends,
minimal homework,
and
winter walks in the brisk, cool air.
